Bachelor of Information Management

Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) course is envisaged to enable students to develop skills in information technology, and at the same time make them able to understand professional expertise while they occupy decision-making positions.

The mission of this program is to develop socially responsible, scientifically approached, and result-oriented information technology (IT) professionals. The specific objectives of the program are to prepare IT professionals proficient in the use of computers and computational techniques in order to develop effective information systems to solve real-life problems in the organizational milieu.

It's a four-year degree program that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, enabling graduates to excel in various fields of the IT industry.

COURSE OF STUDY

ELIGIBILITY
Course Duration

BIM ELIGIBILITY

  • Successfully completed twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
  • Eligible applicants are required to appear in the entrance test commonly known as the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management.
  • Complied with all the application procedures.

Course Duration

The entire course is of eight semesters (four academic years). There is a separate semester examination after the end of each semester.

  • Working days : 90 days in a semester
  • Class hours :

    ⦿ 3 credit hours courses with theory and labs is equivalent to 3 lecture hours and 3 lab hours = 6 working hours per week.

    ⦿ 3 credit hours theory-only course is equivalent 3 lecture hours and 2 tutorial hours = 5 working hours per week.
